"It's boo KAY!"
Parkinson was awful interviewing young attractive women in this period (his interview with Helen Mirren around the same time is famously toe curling). He did get a lot better as he aged and his later interviews were in a different league (though he had a wobble with Meg Ryan).
They have put them back in
Beautiful ❤
Uno degli eventi più dolorosi per la Taylor fu la separazione da BURTON dopo 13 anni 😢😢😢😢😢😢
I didn't know that any of the songs from "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" were translated into English.
Hello Barry
rest in peace and thanks for the time of our lives
One of my favorite people of all time. ❤
Emmett should have let Hyacinth sing at him. He would have been amazed! I know I was!
Are there other people onstage besides Joan Collins? Because she's all I can see. She so outshines everybody she shares the stage or screen with and they all disappear in the light of her dazzling beauty, charisma and stage presence.
This is just exquisite. And Dame Patricia is mistress of the English language and perfect diction. Miriam Margolyes has much to say about sloppy speech (all of which I agree with) - I think she and Patricia might get on well with each other. UK. E ❤
Gotta hand it to Joan. She is not a comparable singer or dancer to Debbie or Shirley, yet she is so fabulous she stole the show.
Happy days!
Trained as a mezzo soprano. Born in Birkenhead, Wirral
Fabulous.
Can i know this song’s name?
The description says it "What A Life."
I giggle throughout the film its real cute. Im glad i found it.
I remember the man playing "Tony" from an episode of "Fawlty Towers" or as it was called here "Halløj på badehotellet".
The deleted scenes make more sense of the movie, always thought it strange. Gosh, those two lite up the screen 🤩😍❤️
I wish they would put the deleted scenes back. Would be so much better!!
Is it just me, or does the young Penelope Keith look like Phoebe Waller-Bridge??
Where's the slap?
She is a marvelous lady and great fun to watch.
they are two of the most beautiful people of the era Barbara reminds me of Jennifer Aniston today.
I was 14 when I saw this episode. Down thru the years, I had a vague recollection of a beautiful song in a Ghost Story episode about an old house and a swing. Forty-five years later, I found the series available on DVD so I ordered it, hoping to see if the song would still affect me. When I watched the DVD's and heard it in this episode, I was happy to find that my memory of a beautiful song was not an imagined spectre. It was just as captivating as when I first heard it at 14.
Barbra was right
Joan Collins, not really known for being a song and dance actress, holds her own in this movie's musical numbers. And that couldn't have been easy with Shirley and Debbie standing next to you. I own the dvd and have wore this movie out lol
Richard Briers and Penelope Keith have been 2 of my favorite comedy actors since back in the 70's. I Like Tom Conti also. I have seen The Norman Conquest 2 or 3 times. And all the Good Neighbors shows many times. And both of them in other shows also. I waited all week to see their programs.
Penelope Keith is amazing
I remember watching this 1st time round on Sunday evenings on BBC1 - Ronnie Hazlehurst's arrangement of Sometimes When We Touch is absolutely lush.
Wonderful woman
I've most probably seen this film before, but to be honest I only remember Debbie in Singing In The Rain and I Love Melvin , also the film where she was on the titanic, Molly Brown, but the rest of her films have slipped my mind, but I've always loved Debbie, she had talent, humour and guts.
What a fantastic hoppy tribute. Such a wonderful show, such wonderful times and I think they thought of themselves as family.
How gorgeous he was, youth is an amazing thing.
Lovely. Thank you very much.
Wonderful performance for fat girl Liz
Don’t know about the reading glasses.
Ruth loses it could be the real name of the show
Such a beautiful voice
I never understood why he didn't has any contact with his doughter.
OMG soooooo Funny!!! Love it. A jolly Good time. I told my BFF to watch this :)
I'm torn. I think Pollack actually made the RIGHT decision. If audiences new ahead of time that Redford only divorced Katie because he had to, then it would have made the ending less impactful and dramatic. The way it is now, it taps into the 'archetypical" feeling we all have , that "i'm not good enough." Barbra gets to be the victim at the end with audiences wondering if he loved her "enough" as she loved him. That's what tugs at the heartstrings.
Midsommer murders vibes.
This glorious tone................
Absolutely marvelous
How nice they will performing for the cow
Fck my legless grandmother 😂😂
It was all going so well until the worst Brummie accent attempted by an 'actor' Now that Was criminal! Lol
